John has been a member of All Saints’ Parish since 2023. He has served on the Vestry, the Endowment Committee, and the Alternative Funding Committee, and currently serves as treasurer of the Endowment Committee. He is also an usher and has completed the church’s financial audit.
John is retired from his position as Associate Professor of Accounting at Elmhurst University. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Arkansas and his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Missouri. He is also a Certified Public Accountant.
He lives in Douglas, Michigan, with his partner, Paul, and their Australian shepherd, Barney. He grew up in St. Louis, Missouri, and lived in Chicago for many years before making West Michigan home after years of vacationing along the lakeshore. He also volunteers as a cashier at the Community Action House retail store in Holland and enjoys stained glass and woodworking.
John appreciates the opportunity to serve the church and is grateful for the friendships he has found at All Saints’ Parish.
