Rector
Fr. Jay was called as the 22nd rector of All Saints’ Parish in May, 2020. He was born in Ann Arbor, MI, grew up outside of Chicago, and after graduating from Wheaton College and Nashotah House Episcopal Seminary, he was ordained to the priesthood in 1988. He served as a parish priest in the Diocese of Chicago for three years before moving to Berkeley, CA, to work on a PhD in theology, which he completed in 1998. Before moving back “home” to Michigan, Jay served as a member of the associate clergy at the Church of the Good Shepherd since 1992 and as a member of the faculty at Pacific School of Religion and the Graduate Theological Union since 2003, all in Berkeley. Jay happily shares his life with River, an Australian shepherd dog.
